Terms of Service
The agreement between you and TaxPio.
TaxPio is operated by Bolrach Technologies Limited. These terms govern your account, what the software does, what it deliberately does not do, and who is responsible for what.

1Who you are contracting with
TaxPio is provided by Bolrach Technologies Limited, a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, corporation number 1609556-9, with its registered office in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In these terms “we”, “us” and “TaxPio” mean Bolrach Technologies Limited, and “you” means the person who creates an account, together with any organisation on whose behalf you act.
By creating an account or using TaxPio you accept these terms. If you are accepting them for a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.
2What TaxPio does
TaxPio is tax preparation and record-keeping software. It helps you organise financial records, classify transactions, map them to a chart of accounts, and produce a prepared corporate income tax return together with supporting schedules.
TaxPio performs deterministic calculations from the figures and facts you supply. It does not audit your records, it does not verify that the figures you enter are accurate or complete, and it does not independently confirm your eligibility for any deduction, credit or filing position.
3What TaxPio does not do, and cannot do today
TaxPio does not file returns with any government. Government transmission is disabled in every country we support and remains disabled until the relevant tax authority has certified or recognised the product. A prepared, validated or locked return has not been sent to anyone.
Documents TaxPio produces, including the locked review copy of a return, are preparation copies. They are marked as such on every page. They are not filed returns and must not be presented as filed returns.
TaxPio is not an accounting firm, a law firm or a tax representative. Nothing in the product is legal, accounting or tax advice, and no lawyer-client, accountant-client or representative relationship is created by using it.
4Your responsibilities
You are the taxpayer or the taxpayer's authorised representative. That means the following remain your responsibility and cannot be transferred to us by using the software.
- The accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of every figure, document and fact you enter or upload.
- Reviewing any prepared return, schedule or computation before relying on it or authorising anything.
- Obtaining independent professional advice on any matter that calls for professional judgement.
- Meeting your own filing and payment deadlines, and filing through whatever channel your tax authority requires.
- Keeping your credentials, passkeys and recovery codes secure, and telling us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Ensuring that anyone you invite into your workspace is entitled to see the records you are sharing with them.
5Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to hold a TaxPio account. Accounts are personal: one account belongs to one natural person, who may then create and be invited into multiple tax profiles.
You must give accurate registration information, including your legal name, and keep it current. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe was created with false information, is being used unlawfully, or is being used to abuse the service or other users.
6Scope boundaries
Each tax engine has a published scope. A tax profile whose facts fall outside that scope is available for record keeping but will not produce a calculated result, and the product will say so rather than compute an answer it cannot stand behind.
Where the law itself is unsettled, TaxPio may refuse to compute rather than choose between competing readings. That refusal is deliberate and is not a defect.
7Fees
Preparation and record-keeping features may be offered on a free or paid basis. Prices, billing periods and any credits required for chargeable actions are published before you are asked to pay, and no chargeable action proceeds without an explicit authorisation from you.
Where a supported filing action requires credits in future, TaxPio will show the exact requirement before you authorise it. An insufficient balance refuses the action; it never queues a partial or unauthorised transmission.
8Your data
You own your records. We process them to provide the service, to keep it secure, to support you, and to meet our own legal obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains this in detail and forms part of these terms.
You can export your records and you can ask us to delete your account. Some records must be retained for a period because tax, audit, anti-fraud or legal-hold obligations require it; the Privacy Policy sets out what is retained and for how long.
9Availability
We work to keep TaxPio available and we take encrypted backups with tested restores, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, third-party failures and events outside our reasonable control can interrupt the service.
Because availability is not guaranteed, do not leave a statutory deadline dependent on the service being reachable at a particular moment.
10Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, TaxPio is provided on an “as is” basis and we exclude all implied warranties to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of goodwill, or for interest, penalties or reassessments arising from figures you supplied, positions you took, or deadlines you missed.
Subject to the first paragraph of this clause, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars.
11Suspension and termination
You may stop using TaxPio and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these terms, where we are required to by law, or where continued access would create a security or legal risk to you, to us or to other users.
We will give you reasonable notice and a reasonable opportunity to export your records before terminating for any reason other than an urgent legal or security requirement.
12Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights we will give you at least thirty days' notice by email to the address on your account, and the change takes effect on the date stated in that notice. Continuing to use TaxPio after that date means you accept the change.
Every version carries an effective date, and superseded versions remain available on request.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, and the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
